Nepali Poems,
Written Slowly

Modern Nepali poetry by Diwakar Bhatt. Poems about a house left empty in the hills, a river asked where it went, and a country buried in the hollow it was dug from. Free to read, and added to as they are written.

All Nepali Poems

Newest first. Most are written in Nepali because that is the language they arrived in, and a few are in the far-western dialect I grew up speaking. They are short on purpose. Read one, then sit with it for a minute before opening the next. If you would rather browse everything together, the full literature library holds the poems and the short stories side by side. And if you want to read the poets I learned this from, there are profiles of four Nepali poets written as craft rather than biography.
