Literary contribution (साहित्यिक योगदान)
He has pushed Nepali prose towards the strange: dream logic, invented forms and a deliberately mixed language. Two Madan Puraskar shortlistings show that the literary mainstream takes the experiment seriously.
For a poet, the lesson is in the sentences. Writing that refuses plain realism has to earn the reader's trust line by line, which is the same discipline a poem needs.
He is living and his work is in copyright, so this page describes it rather than quoting it.
Where to go next
Mohan Koirala and Bairagi Kainla are the earlier experimentalists in verse. All the writers are on the Nepali poets page.
